IF YOU HAVE A MALE CONNECTOR ON YOUR HDMI CABLE, YOU CAN PLUG IT INTO THE FEMALE HDMI CONNECTOR ON THIS ADAPTER AND CABLE WILL THEN HAVE A MALE DVI CONNECTOR ON THE END. THIS ADAPTER CAN BE USED TO CONNECT HDMI CABLES TO DVI MONITORS, OR HDMI CABLES TO OLDER TELEVISIONS THAT HAVE DVI INPUTS.
NOTE: THE ADAPTER IS ABLE TO TRANSMIT BOTH VIDEO AND AUDIO, BUT IF YOU HDTV DOESN’T OUTPUT AUDIO, PLEASE CHECK IF IT DOES HAVE AUDIO CODEC.
